Taxonomy Boot Camp London’s programme and registration are now live at www.taxonomybootcamp.com/London/2017. Again this year there will be a 25% discount for all ISKO members, and ISKO UK will host a social, networking Meet-up on the evening of the first day, 17th October.

Meet the Francophone pioneers in Paris this July

Registration is now open for the ISKO-France Conference on “Epistemological and theoretical foundations of Information–Documentation science: a tribute to francophone pioneers” July 11th-12th, in Paris. David Haynes in Hot Seat

As of 14th March 2017, David Haynes has been elected to the Chair of ISKO-UK. With a long, strong track record in KO practice, research, teaching and consultancy, David is already leading preparations for the ISKO UK conference in September. Watch this space for more news.

Boot Camp collaboration

UDC Conference in London, 14-15 September 2017

The International UDC Seminar 2017 "Faceted Classification Today: Theory, Technology and End Users" will take place in London on 14-15 September 2017. It is the sixth in a series of International UDC Seminars devoted to advances in documentary classification research and their application in a networked environment. More details are at http://seminar.udcc.org/2017/. For the convenience of overseas visitors, the date has been arranged close to the ISKO UK conference on 11-12 September.

Online KO Encyclopedia launched

A new open-access Encyclopedia of Knowledge Organization is under development, and the first three articles are already online at http://www.isko.org/cyclo/ . All articles are peer reviewed. The Editor-in-Chief is Birger Hjørland (Royal School of LIS, Copenhagen)
