by Marcela Lopes Alves from the University of Oxford
The talk presents research at the intersection of complexity science, machine learning, knowledge representation and organisation, and economics. It focuses on computational modelling and network-based parameter estimation for agent models.
Marcela Lopes Alves is a DPhil student in Computer Science and part of the Institute of New Economic Thinking (INET) at the University of Oxford. Her research explores complex systems, computational modelling, and network-based approaches for parameter estimation. This work connects machine learning, dynamic systems, and systems engineering with questions of knowledge representation and organisation, with a focus on how complexity theory can help understand economic systems.
