Pierre-Yves Vandenbussche

Pierre-Yves Vandenbussche received his PhD in Information Technology from Paris VI University. His thesis concerned the representation harmonization of Knowledge Organization Systems (KOS) and their mapping to offer unified services which support editing, publication and effective use. Dr. Vandenbussche currently leads research efforts at Fujitsu Ireland in collaboration with the Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI). His current work interest concerns the application of semantic web technologies for data publication and knowledge systems management and preservation. Dr. Vandenbussche created the Linked Open Vocabularies initiative and the SPARQLES monitoring tool, for which he won the ISWC 2013 Best Paper Award.
