Louise Spiteri

Louise Spiteri is an associate professor and Director of the School of Information Management at Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, Canada. Dr. Spiteri holds a PhD in Information Studies from the University of Toronto, and Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Spiteri’s research focuses on social tagging, metadata, and social catalogues, with particular emphasis on how user-generated metadata can be used to enhance access to bibliographic databases and records. Dr. Spiteri teaches in the areas of the organization of information, cataloguing, indexing, and records management.
