Andreas Oskar Kempf

Andreas Oskar Kempf holds a PhD in sociology from Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main, and is research associate at GESIS - Leibniz-Institute for the Social Sciences, Cologne, Germany. He received a MasterĀ“s degree in Library and Information Science from Humboldt-University, Berlin, in 2011, with a thesis on automatic indexing of domain-specific information. Since then he conducts applied research on GESIS authority data for content cataloguing of social science research literature and projects, i.e. the Thesaurus and the Classification System for the Social Sciences. Apart from automatic indexing his research interests include the interoperability of knowledge organization systems and their integration in semantic web applications.
