ISKO UK Conference 2009
In our networked world, enabling easy access to multiple services and resources is often reliant on a team effort involving specialists from very different backgrounds – website design, knowledge engineering, audio and video engineering, linguistics, computer science, etc.
The first biennial Conference of the British Chapter of the International Society for Knowledge Organization (ISKO UK) entitled "Content Architecture: Exploiting and Managing Diverse Resources", took place on 22-23 June 2009, in London. It was organized in cooperation with the Department of Information Studies, University College London and brought together more than 140 people from all the diverse specialisms that contribute to integrated information systems and services.
The conference followed a series of highly successful afternoon meetings that have now become part of the ISKO UK regular programme and attract people from different communities working in the knowledge and information arena.
